The Clubhouse of Spearfish
More Than a Place to Play

The Clubhouse of Spearfish was built around a love of golf, family and the idea that the game can bring people together in ways that go far beyond the course.

The Clubhouse of Spearfish is locally owned by Greg Percevich and managed by his daughter, Dannica Percevich. The Clubhouse is a place for golf, food, drinks and fun, but the inspiration behind it began with a deeply personal family experience.

In November 2017, Greg’s son, Cody, suffered a grand mal seizure that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Cody spent 2 months in a coma at CU Health in Denver, another 3 months in the ICU before being transferred to Craig Rehabilitation in March of 2018. Upon Cody’s arrival at Craig, he could barely speak and doctors were not optimistic that Cody would regain the ability to walk. Cody spent time at Craig Hospital undergoing intensive rehabilitation and relearning everything from walking and talking to rebuilding his golf swing.

Cody had been an avid golfer before his injury, and the incredible team at Craig frequently took him to indoor golf simulators as part of his rehabilitation and recovery. Those outings gave Cody an opportunity to reconnect with something he loved while working to regain his strength, coordination and confidence.

Greg, an avid golfer himself, saw how meaningful those experiences were and began thinking about bringing indoor golf to the Black Hills. He wanted to create a place where people could enjoy the game throughout the year, regardless of the weather.

From that idea, The Clubhouse of Spearfish was born.

We are proud to be a locally owned, family-operated business—and we are grateful to everyone who has made The Clubhouse apart of their story.
